The retractable hood, KitchenAid is very discreet – almost invisible – hidden in the kitchen worktop. With just one touch he scrolls the worksheet up, ready to fight nasty cooking fumes and the associated odors.

Our vision of hoods in the kitchen interior, has changed significantly in recent years. The sleek stainless steel chimney hoods clearing the field for less and less conspicuous ones. Our open kitchen obviously require alternative solutions, as a giant wall hood above the cooking island just is not exactly an aesthetic choice. KitchenAid fills this need with the Downdraft . This hood is indeed behind the cooktop installed, completely absorbed in the top and comes out from the kitchen worktop with a push of a button. But its discrete nature is not the only reason that we as asset be quoted. The device is very powerful, thanks to its suction capacity of 900 m³ / h. What’s more, the fumes are sucked directly from the pot. They have therefore no great distance to go to the hood, so the distribution of cooking odors in the home is limited. The engine also has three speeds, with a special program for intensive use. The unit must always be complete, up to a height of 300 mm, to be extended so that the lights come on and vent valve opens at the bottom. The extraction panel in their elevated position above it is very easy to remove. So you can also remove the carbon filter replacement. The device can therefore also be easily cleaned on the inside. The suction panel is made of stainless steel, the top of black glass. This seems like the hood is an extension of the hob. With its length of 90 cm does the unit is perfect with a hot plate of 90 cm as well. The Downdraft in type connector is flexible, it is suitable for operation outside the conventional drain or recirculation.
