Robots cross Pacific
Four robots have recently embarked on a historic journey that they can just set a world drop.
The robots are about the size of a dolphin and consist of two parts. One part is on the surface, the other is deep below. The robots are powered by the movement of waves.
Tens of thousands of kilometers
the robots have moved from San Francisco. At first they travel to the four, but at some point their separate ways. Two robots go to Japan to Australia and the other set. Together, the robots thousands of miles. When they complete their journey, so they write the record for longest unmanned voyage to their name.
Science,
but the robots are not only on that record. They also serve another purpose. Thus, it is intended that during their travels many measurements. So they put such water temperature, salinity, weather, and so fixed. That information can then be used for scientific research.
The journey of the robots does require some patience. If all goes well – and they do not collide with a ship, are attacked by a shark, etc. – the robots have more than 300 days to complete their journey.
