Salabhasana

Lie on your stomach your hands on both sides, palms facing upward and forehead on the floor. A folded blanket can be placed under your pelvis and your ribs for added comfort.

As you exhale, raise your head, arms, legs and torso to the ground. Your weight will rest on your lower ribs, your stomach and pelvis. 

Your arms should be parallel to the floor. Look straight ahead or slightly upwards. Hold, then release.

Benefits:

The position of the locust is used as therapy for constipation, fatigue, flatulence, indigestion and back pain.  It strengthens the spine, buttocks, arms and legs while stretching the shoulders, chest, abdomen and thighs.

This position can relieve stress, improve posture and stimulate the abdominal organs. 

It is used to improve the gaps cord, such as scoliosis, kyphosis, etc..
